Gareth Bale admits he is still mulling over his future amid renewed speculation he will join Manchester United this summer.

The Wales international gave a man of the match performance in Mays Champions League final win over Liverpool, emerging from the substitutes bench to score two goals that secured a third straight win in the competition.

Bale admitted immediately after his matchwinning cameo that he would consider his options having grown frustrated at his inability to cement a regular first team starting position.

The sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus is likely to afford Bale the opportunity to finally step out from the Portuguese superstars shadow but the 28-year-olds agent Jonathan Barnett revealed earlier this week that his client would still seek crunch talks with new manager Julen Lopetegui imminently.

I need more minutes. It frustrated me not to be a starter in the Champions League final. revealed last week that Jose Mourinho resisted the opportunity to bring Ronaldo back to Old Trafford and reports this week claimed United were preparing to ramp up their efforts to sign Bale instead.

Mourinho has been reserved in the transfer market so far this summer, recruiting Brazil international midfielder Fred as a replacement for the retired Michael Carrick and Portugal Under-21 international Diego Dalot.

Bale, meanwhile, insists he has hardly watched back his stunning performance in Kiev, which included a stunning overhead kick that came just minutes after his introduction.

I didnt watch back my bicycle kick goal many times. I went on vacation and switched off.
