Lucas Perez has sent a touching farewell message to Arsenal following his £4m move to West Ham on deadline day.
The Hammers found a unique way to announce the signing of Perez as they used their big screens at the London Stadium to unveil the player.
The Spaniard hasnt forgotten his former teammates as well as the love and support the fans showed him since his arrival at the Emirates two years ago and wished the club the best for the future.
The striker said: Today I would like to thank Arsenal fans for their support, they always showed me affection and love from the first time I arrived in London.
I also want to give my thanks to my teammates and to the staff of this club for giving me the opportunity to make my debut in one of the best leagues in the world and win the FA Cup.
I wish you all the best for the future and I hope you can go and achieve great things.
Perez was signed from Deportivo La Coruna for £17m two years ago but struggled to secure a regular first-team role during his debut campaign at Arsenal.
The Spaniard started just two Premier League matches under former Gunners boss Arsene Wenger and only made a total of 21 appearances before being sent back to La Coruna on loan.
It appeared as if new Arsenal boss Unai Emery would give the centre-forward a second chance as he included him in the pre-season tour of Singapore but the Spaniard ultimately moved to West Ham with the Gunners taking a huge hit on their £17m outlay.
