A chocolate shop has created a Harry Potter themed Sorting Hat Egg just in time for Easter.
Slattery’s Patissier & Chocolatie has just started selling The Sorting Egg, a milk chocolate Easter egg which comes filled with milk chocolate callets and a house which is chosen at random.
On the outside of the egg is a sugar paste hat and a chocolate pretzel dipped wand.
Jo, who owns the shop, says the eggs are all handmade, taking around two hours to create a batch of 18.
As they are so delicate, she says the eggs can be bought by collection only from her shop in Manchester.
Alongside the Sorting Hat Egg, the chocolate shop also offers a unicorn egg, a mermaid egg and an Easter egg shaped like a bee hive – which comes decorated with a cute little bee.
Jo said: ‘Our largest Easter egg we make is 30” tall and weighs 12.5kg about the size of a baby bath!’
The Sorting Hat eggs cost £14.95 each – though for obvious reasons they’ve been incredibly popular, so to get your hands on one you’ll have to put down a £5 deposit and be willing to travel over to Manchester (which, if you’re a real Harry Potter fan, you’ll happily do by broomstick, right?).
