Donald Trump said his youngest son watches graphic violence on television and in movies.
Speaking at a bipartisan meeting of Congress Wednesday to discuss cracking down on gun violence, Trump said: ‘The video games, the movies, the internet stuff, it’s so violent.
‘It’s so incredible, I see it, I get to see things you’d be amazed at
‘I have a very young son. I look at some of the things he is watching and I say ‘How is that possible?’ and I think you maybe have to take a look at it.
‘You rate movies for different things, maybe you have to rate them for terror, what they’re doing and what they’re all about.
‘Its hard to believe that for a percentage of children this doesn’t have an impact on their thought process.’
Trump previously blamed violent media for school shootings like the Valentine’s Day massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school in Parkland, Fl., that killed 17.
He thinks teachers should be given guns to fight off students like shooter Nikolas Cruz, who targeted the school with an AR-17 assault rifle
