Wayne Rooney has reportedly agreed a deal in principle to join DC United in the summer.
According to the Sky Sports, Rooneys representatives have been in the United States to discuss a move to MLS outfit DC United.
England and Uniteds all-time record goalscorer has been offered a deal to keep him at DC United until the end of the 2020 MLS campaign, with a £12million move agreed in principle.
However, the contract is yet to be signed and Sam Allardyces precarious position at Everton means Rooney could be convinced to stay on at Goodison Park.
Rooneys agent Paul Stretford had been in talks with several MLS clubs before he joined Everton last summer.
The latest deal, discussed with DC Uniteds Chief Executive Jason Levein, was formulated over the past seven weeks.
Its claimed Rooneys move will likely be announced when the MLS secondary transfer window opens on July 10.
Evertons final match of the season away at West Ham looks set to be Rooneys last match in England.
