Horse Racing Tips: Turner can taste more cup success with Master Of Wine

AS WELL as the Lockinge Stakes, the crowd at Newbury tomorrow have got plenty of other good action to look forward to.

The Al Zubarah London Gold Cup (3.00pm) is one of the hottest handicaps of the season and former winners include Al Kazeem, Cannock Chase and 12 months ago, Defoe.

This years renewal looks another hugely competitive contest and you can be sure plenty of winners will come out of it during the season.

Hayley Turner enjoyed a big handicap success in the Victoria Cup at Ascot last weekend and Im hoping lightning can strike twice tomorrow with MASTER OF WINE at 12/1 with Coral.

The Andrew Balding-trained three-year-old won really well on his seasonal reappearance at Epsom last month.

He clearly appreciated the step up in distance to a mile that day and Im hopeful tomorrows extra two furlongs will bring out further improvement.

He gets in off a mark of just 82 and I think he could be dangerously well-handicapped.

The obvious one is Roger Varians Masaarr after his impressive win at Doncaster, but he will have to be very good to win this off 96.

Over at Newmarket, in the Betway Handicap (3.15pm), I like the chances of Richard Faheys SHOWMETHEDOUGH.

The three-year-old son of Showcasing was backed as if defeat was out of the question in a competitive handicap at Chester last week, but could only finish sixth.

That was over five furlongs and even though he didnt lay a glove on the winner, he stayed on well at the finish and the step up to six tomorrow is certain to suit.

Hes one from one over the distance and with his stable in such good form, he looks worth supporting at 8/1 with Coral.
