Liverpool have agreed a £43.6/€50 million fee plus potential bonuses for Monaco midfielder Fabinho, according to French media outlet RMC Sport.
Fabinho is said to be interested in the project being built at the Anfield club by Jurgen Klopp, so the transfer remains a realistic possibility.
Negotiations are currently ongoing between the two clubs over the move but the Reds are keen on bringing him to the club as soon as possible.
The 24-year-old started in a defensive midfield role in Monacos recent game at Troyes, but hes also been utilised as a full-back before in his career.
The Reds are keen to bolster their midfield options this summer alongside the arriving Naby Keita from RB Leipzig.
Club legend Jamie Carragher also recently highlighted its the main area that he thinks needs improvement this summer, claiming Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum and James Milner are workaholics.

Philippe Coutinho departed the club in January for La Liga side Barcelona and Klopp opted not to replace him at the time, with Emre Can also expected to leave for Juventus this summer.
Fabinho has represented his country four times throughout his career. He also spent two years at Real Madrid before joining Monaco in 2015, however, he only played for Reals first team once.
