Danny Welbecks Arsenal future under threat as Unai Emery begins to cut squad

Danny Welbecks future at Arsenal is in doubt as Unai Emery begins his clear-out at Arsenal, according to reports.
The Gunners have strengthened significantly this summer with the signings of Lucas Torreira, Stephan Lichtsteiner, Bernd Leno and Sokratis Papastathopoulos for a combined total of around £70 million.
Emery must now decided who to sell and allow to leave on loan as he begins to trim down his squad ahead of the new season.
And according to the Daily Telegraph, Welbecks place is under threat.
The 27-year-old started only 12 games in the Premier League last season and made another 16 appearances from the bench.

Welbecks minutes for Arsenal have been restricted due to several injuries and he now faces question marks over his future with just a year remaining on his current deal.
The forward, who was signed from Manchester United for £16m in 2014, is currently on holiday after being part of Englands World Cup campaign in Russia.

But despite his lack of appearances for Arsenal, Welbeck was considered as one of Arsene Wengers favourites.
I would say, above all, the qualities of Danny Welbeck, when your backs against the wall, he looks like he has that extra special motivation in his body and in his head, that can give you something special, Wenger said just three months ago.
Thats something really exceptional and that you do not find in many players.
