Arsenal believe Aaron Ramsey wants to stay at the club and will reject interest from Manchester United and Chelsea.
The Welshman has entered the final year of his contract and the Gunners are desperate for him to sign fresh terms.
Both Manchester United and Chelsea showed interest in the midfielder during the summer transfer window with the Blues particularly fond of Ramsey.
Alexis Sanchez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain both left the club after the Gunners allowed them to enter the final year of their deals last year, while Arsenal paid over the odds to keep Mesut Ozil at the club given he was six months away from the end of his own contract.
The Gunners are keen to avoid a repeat of the same scenario and the Mirror claims Arsenal are confident of keeping Ramsey.
Ramsey is willing to bide his time in negotiations in the knowledge he can extract a larger deal the longer he keeps talks going.
