Cena has been living in China for the last three months and will be staying out there for much of the rest of this year as filming continues.

Ive been here in China for three months now – and although were moving to different cities – Ive been in the country for three months and I still dont feel acclimated, Cena confirmed.

I feel adjusted, things are still new and fun and I dont quite understand everything. I think it would probably take a few years, but its amazing how much more comfortable I became after about a month and a half.

The 16-time WWE Champion has been learning Mandarin for a number of years, which has led to his appreciation of Chinese culture.

Despite his fondness for the country, the intensive WWE schedule has meant he hasnt seen a great deal of China, until now.

Travel in the WWE is amazingly relentless, but its only because we have an audience thats so spread out,” Cena said.

We come to perform in Shanghai, you leave the next day because the routing is so very difficult, its logistically impossible to keep you there because theres another show to be had. This is similar to everywhere across the world. Ive often told people, Ive been around the world 25 times and seen nothing. So, being able to come here and make this my home, like, Im here.

Ive been here for three months and Ill be here for two more. So, five months out of a calendar year, Im here. Instead of saying, Im visiting, Im now living here and I kind of treat it that way. I try to use language wherever I can, I try to be more accustomed to the culture, try different things, and Ive found places that I like and developed my own sense of comfort, but Im always trying to challenge myself to kind of experience more and more.”
