Barcelona are sweating over the fitness of Lionel Messi after the iconic forward was forced off with a grim-looking arm injury against Sevilla.

Messi doubled Barcas lead in the 12th minute following Philippe Coutinhos opener at the Nou Camp but had to be substituted in the 26th minute of the La Liga encounter.

A Barcelona physio applied strapping to Messis arm after the Argentine landed awkwardly and Ousmane Dembele came on as a replacement.

The Catalan giants face Inter Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday night before hosting bitter rivals Real Madrid in a much-anticipated El Clasico next weekend.

Asked about rumours that Lopetegui could be sacked, Sergio Ramos replied: I always said that manager changes are never good for anyone. Its a bit of an advantage. Calm must be kept.

We do not make decisions about who has to be a coach.

Julen has the support of all his players and together we will see how to turn this around.
