Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for November after enjoying an outstanding run of form.
Sterling has directly contributed towards 14 goals in the Premier League this season (eight goals, six assists) – a total that only Chelseas Eden Hazard (15: eight goals, seven assists) can better.
Sterling beat City teammates David Silva and Leroy Sane to the award as well as Liverpools Andrew Robertson, Evertons Lucas Digne, West Hams Felipe Anderson and Tottenhams Moussa Sissoko.
The England international enjoyed the most productive season of his career last year and has continued in the much same vein since August, playing a key role in Citys title challenge.
Pep Guardiolas side have spent much of the season at the top of the Premier League table until a 2-0 defeat to Chelsea saw them slip below Liverpool into second place.
After that game at Stamford Bridge, Sterling alleged that he had been the victim of racist abuse from Chelsea supporters and he has been praised for the dignity he showed at the time, as well as for speaking out about racism in football in the aftermath.
City will look to get back to winning ways when they face Everton at the Etihad on Saturday and Sterling will be hoping to continue his electric form at the Etihad having scored 17 goals and provided nine assists at home since the start of last season.
