Frank Warren has confirmed there is nothing to the rumour Tyson Fury could fight for the WBO title against Tom Schwarz this weekend.
Fury began the rumour himself during fight week, saying inside information had told him the WBO were thinking about stripping Andy Ruiz, due to his mooted rematch with Anthony Joshua.
The WBO are yet to rule on their mandatory challenger and Warren revealed to Metro.co.uk Fury-Schwarz would not be for a vacant world title.
Asked if there was any truth to the rumour, Warren replied: No, thats just Tyson playing.
Fury was certainly in a playful mood on Wednesday, as he met Schwarz for the first time at a press conference in Vegas.
Schwarz, who has not been in attendance for any media events until fight week, was dragged on stage early after Fury decided to warm up the waiting press 15 minutes before the press conference was due to kick off.
Fury invited questions before the eventual press conference started and called for song requests from the crowd.
