Trusting French bulldog filmed walking away with stranger who patted his head

A trusting French bulldog has been filmed escaping from his owners car and wandering away with a complete stranger who gave him a friendly pat on the head.
Surveillance footage at a Shell station near Folsom,California on Saturday shows 3-year-old Louie jumping out of the car while his owner, Marissa Rittiron, was filling it up with gas.
The dog can be seen wandering around the gas station as Rittiron pulls off, unaware that her beloved pup has been left behind.
The friendly dog catches the eye of a man styling a ponytail. The man enters the convenience store and Louie waits patiently outside the door for him to return.

When the man exits the store, he gently pats Louies head and the dog follows him off.
The unidentified man decided to put Louie in his red Chevrolet Blazer. The surveillance footage fails to show a license plate number.
After realizing the dog was missing, Louies owner, Marissa Rittiron returned to the station and viewed the stores footage in order to trace her pets movements.
She told Fox40 she doesnt believe the man or his companions had any bad intentions.
