A controversial statue of US First Lady Melania Trump has been erected in her Slovenian hometown.
Sevnica in central Slovenia now boasts what it is claimed is the first ever statue of the US first lady, carved by local artist Alex Maxi Zupevc.
And despite their pride for the towns most famous daughter, many locals are not impressed with the wooden tribute to Mrs Trump.
One resident said It doesnt look anything like Melania.
Its a Smurfette. Its a disgrace, ITV reports.
Another local said: Its not okay. Its a disgrace.Thats what I have to say.
Images show the monument depicting the US first lady with an unusual facial expression and her hand raised as if she was waving.
It is dressed in the powder blue Ralph Lauren suit Mrs Trump wore to her husbands inauguration as President of the United States in January 2017.
The statue is the brainchild of US artist Brade Downey. He hired local craftsman Ales Zupevc, known as Maxi, to create the sculpture.
It is said that Downey gave the artist free reign over the design of the figure.
