Romelu Lukaku has been rested with a small niggled and will miss the opening friendly of Manchester Uniteds pre-season campaign against Perth Glory.

The Belgium internationals future has been the subject of intense speculation all summer long, but the 26-year-old travelled with the rest of Ole Gunnar Solskjaers first team squad to Australia earlier this week.

Inter and Antonio Conte are desperate to bring Lukaku to Italy but the Nerazzurri are struggling to come up with a financial package that would tempt United, who spent £75million on the former Everton striker, into selling.
