Ronnie OSullivan is in confident mood after winning the Shanghai Masters on Sunday, so much so he has promised his fans a left-handed 147 break in the next week!
The Rocket played his first tournament of the season last week and looked in fine fettle, lifting the Shanghai Masters title for a third consecutive year and a fourth time in total.
The 43-year-old made eight centuries in the event, including two in the final during his thrilling 11-9 victory over Shaun Murphy.
The five-time world champion is now looking forward to get back on the practice table and has an ambitious target in mind.
Famously ambidextrous with his cue, the Rocket has never made a maximum 147 break left-handed, but he plans to change that in the coming days.
The Rocket tweeted on Monday: Once Im home next week Ill be posting some videos of me attempting a 147 left handed. Should be fun.
I will eventually make the 147 left-handed.. but Ill post the progress.. might take me a week.. but Ill do it for sure.
If his ambitious practice routine goes well then OSullivan may well be tempted to enter the English Open which takes place in Crawley next month.
The Essex man lost out in the semi-finals in the event last year and is yet to confirm his place in the tournament this time round, but has until 25 September to do so.
If the Rocket chooses not to play at the English Open (which runs 14-20 October) then he will next be in action at the Yushan World Open which gets underway on 28 October.
