Arsenal are in danger of turning into Everton unless Unai Emery can fix their defensive frailties, believes former Tottenham striker Darren Bent.

The Gunners have made a shaky start to the season at the back, keeping a clean sheet in their Premier League opener against Newcastle, but failing to do so in the four games since.

David Luiz was brought in over the summer to add experience and stability to the back line, but the Brazilian has been at fault for a number of goals in his short Gunners career already.

Luiz was in the back four alongside Sokratis Papastathopoulos, AInsley Maitland-Niles and Sead Kolasinac in their last Premier League outing at Watford on Sunday as they tossed away a two goal lead to draw 2-2.

All four have come under criticism from Bent, who believes they need to vastly improve or the Gunners will be out of Champions League contention.

Theyre playing more like four individuals than they are as a collective unit, Bent told Football Insider .

Theyre just not working in tandem, theyre all over the place. Youve got some that are trying to play offsides, youve got ones that arent attacking crosses, one will try win the header, the others not covering

You cant be exciting going forward and concede as many goals as they do because youre going to get nowhere.
