Ki-Jana Hoever once again impressed during Liverpools 2-0 win against MK Dons, with the 17-year-old demonstrating just why hes so highly rated.

The Dutch defender got himself on the scoresheet, bursting powerfully into the box and heading home a James Milner cross, and put in an assured defensive display.

Hoever operated at right-back on Wednesday evening but has also played at centre-back under Jurgen Klopp and there is speculation over which position he will end up playing at Anfield in the future.

Klopp believes he is currently more suited to the full-back role – although his crossing needs work – due to the physical demands required at centre-back but he thinks it is too early for Hoever to specialise in either position.

He said after the 2-0 win: For Ki-Jana, I didnt play on a similar stage when I was 18 years old at this really nice stadium, I wish other clubs would have had similar dressing rooms, by the way!

So in the first half he was defensively orientated. Second half he was able to get in the box and it was a wonderful goal. Wonderful cross (from Milner) absolutely.

He has the speed and the passing, his crossing can be improved which will be useful from the full-back position.
